3. Common Real-Time FICO Errors & Solutions 🚨

Critical troubleshooting for Financial and Controlling modules.

Error 1: "Company code XXXX is not assigned to a Field Status Variant"

Scenario:

When attempting to post an entry, the system cannot determine the rules for mandatory/optional fields because the company code lacks an assignment.

Solution (T-Code: OBC5):

Use OBC5 (Assign Company Code to Field Status Variant). Ensure the variant is linked to your company code. Then, ensure the variant itself is correctly configured via OBC4.

Error 2: "Asset under construction (AUC) is missing settlement rule"

Scenario:

You cannot settle costs from an AUC to final assets because the distribution rules (settlement rules) have not been defined in the AUC master record.

Solution (T-Code: AIAB):

Use AIAB (Settle Asset Under Construction). Here you define how the accumulated costs on the AUC should be distributed to one or more final assets. After definition, use AIBU for settlement execution.

Error 3: "Internal number range missing for controlling area"

Scenario:

When creating master data like Cost Centers or Profit Centers, the system cannot automatically assign a number because the required number range interval is missing.

Solution (T-Code: KANK):

Use KANK (Maintain Number Ranges for CO) and select your Controlling Area. Ensure that number ranges are defined and marked as 'Internal' for the relevant CO object type (e.g., Cost Center Standard Group).
